Tanjiro Kamado is a kind and hardworking boy who sells charcoal to support his family in the mountains. One morning, he returns home to find his family brutally killed by a demon, with only his younger sister Nezuko barely alive. To his shock, Nezuko has been turned into a demon herself and attacks him, but he manages to calm her down. A demon slayer named Giyu arrives and, moved by the siblings’ bond, spares Nezuko and guides Tanjiro toward a new path of becoming a demon slayer.
